Shattering glass ceilings at The Glass Manor in Innisfil (Cookstown) Ontario for our 2nd (out of 6th ) event.

Written by: Anvy Luu, November 21st 2022.

As we continue our crusade to revolutionize the landscape for females in the financial industry-- as well as women in business as a whole, we continue to strive to leaving women more empowered than when we first found them through our journey with The Fēmina Empire.

It was a chilly November Sunday afternoon in Innisifil with light flurries filling the skies. Our November 20th event was hosted at The Glass Manor, Cookstown. We were first introduced to Diana Robinson (owner of The Glass Manor) in the beginning of October by a good friend in business, Alison Dias (co-founder of Turn of Events & Catering). Turn of Events was our sponsor for catering, as well as, the in-house caterers at The Glass Manor. Upon our walk-through of the space before booking, Diana learned about our mission to give back to a local charity from the proceeds of this event. To show her support, she instantly re-quoted the event rental fee for the venue by cutting the price in half!

To honour this, we at Fē decided we would put that other half of the rental fee towards donating to the local charity! The movement and impact had already began before it began.

Following this conversation, we had asked Diana for her recommendation in the area that she felt would benefit from our support. With that, we ended up reaching out to 'My Sister's Place' in Alliston Ontario to share our support by raising funds from our event.
